CURRENTLY WATCHING:

PUSHING DAISIES

"Every not-so-often, along comes a show that’s different. Wonderfully different. It’s the story of Ned, a lonely pie maker whose touch can reanimate the dead. Cool, but there’s a hitch. If Ned touches the person again, the miracle is reversed. If he doesn’t, a bystander goes toes up. What to do? Easy: Team with a private eye, bring murder victims back just long enough to discover whodunit, and collect the rewards. Things go well until Ned’s boyhood sweetie is the next dear departed, and he can’t resist bringing her back for keeps! Dig the wit, style and quirky romance: If you’re not laughing, you may need a visit from Ned."

It's like CSI minus the science factor. Watching the first few minutes of the very first episode, I knew this was going to be a keeper. Pushing Daisies has the Tim Burton feel throughout all of it, which I lovelovelove. I am totally obsessed with the script and the screen shots are art pieces by themselves. The story line is so unique, I always wonder how they come up with stuff like this.

It's witty, charming and highly addictive. This is my newest favorite TV show. Three episodes in so far and I now officially consider it as one of my top 5 favorite series of all time. I'm telling you, waiting for seeders is all worth the wait, GO NOW, SEARCH, DOWNLOAD and WATCH! (If you don't get it- google about torrents-update yourself!)

A Contradiction

I love driving but I hate it at the same time.

I love the freedom it WILL give me
but I hate being in a situation where I can actually kill or get killed.
I love the fact that I can actually sing out loud during long drives
but I hate the fact that I have to be 100% aware of my surroundings.
(FOCUS-something I lack.)

I love the thought of driving my friends around
but I hate fv**ing insensitive b*****s who go honking at me for being slightly slow after a turn.
(CAN'T YOU SEE I'M TRAINING HERE. HONKING WON'T MAKE ME GO ANY FASTER, IT WILL ONLY TENSE ME UP EVEN MORE)(OKEI, I KNOW THEY DON'T KNOW I'M TRAINING. BASTA, BE SENSITIVE BEH! RARR)
PLUS THE HANDBOOK SAYS HONKING IS RUDE.

I've been training for a month now, and yesss contrary to what I might have imposed prior this paragraph, I'm getting better. HA. But my stupid nerves won't let me gooo. Go awaaaaaaaay. *pulling hair and jumping up and down(repeat)*The moment I start the engine, I get the jitters. Lord KALMA LANG. Hay, plus I hate the fact that I'm so sensitive. When I get honked at, I get pissed. (and I stay pissed for the next half hour or so) I just need to learn how to let go and move on.

I think maybe I'm so in love with the "I'm driving to the mall, see you there." or "I'm going to pick you up okay?" idea that I can't wait to get my license. Agh the autonomy of "I'll go where I want to go, when I want to go". But I'm learning everyday that it's just one of those things I have to get used to before I can go do it on my own. Rarr. But I'm hoping it'll will be soon because school is around the corner and I wouldn't want to waste 30minutes more sleep time to sitting at the back of the bus dozing off like a street bum.

Be My Star

My music genre have changed so much through the years. I started becoming dependent on music to get me through the day when I was in 6th grade. Probably the time when our parents decided to unsubscribe to cable due to a reason everyone is well aware of-kids' tv addiction. So to feed her hungry soul, my sister started to listen to the radio- and since we slept in the same room, I was learning to compensate as well. That was one of the best things that ever happened to me.

I go through an artist phase. From a week to a whole month, I would be listening to a certain artist and then I'd go and fish out my favorites from their albums, then I'd move on to the next. From Britney, to Taking Back Sunday, to Rihanna, to Hawthorne Heights, to Ne-yo, to Kimya Dawson, to Alanis, and the list just never ends. I don't have a specific type of music, it's just when I hear great lyrics that speak to me I get hooked. These days I'm extremely loving Kate Nash, Ingrid Michaelson and the likes. I don't know what genre they are in, if you happen to know, PLEASE TELL ME.

And just recently I discovered "Gregory and The Hawk". Usually I don't go out sharing my favorite not so popular band/singer, but this is just too good to keep myself. I hope you would love her as well. Enjoy ;)

Boats and Birds by: Gregory and The Hawk
If you be my star
I'll be your sky
you can hide underneath me and come out at night
when I turn jet black and you show off your light
I live to let you shine
I live to let you shine

but you can skyrocket away from me
and never come back if you find another galaxy
far from here with more room to fly
just leave me your stardust to remember you by

if you be my boat
I'll be your sea
a depth of pure blue just to probe curiosity
ebbing and flowing and pushed by a breeze
I live to make you free
I live to make you free

but you can set sail to the west if you want to
and past the horizon till I can't even see you
far from here where the beaches are wide
just leave me your wake to remember you by

if you be my star
I'll be your sky
you can hide underneath me and come out at night
when I turn jet black and you show off your light
I live to let you shine
I live to let you shine

but you can skyrocket away from me
and never come back if you find another galaxy
far from here with more room to fly
just leave me your stardust to remember you by

Tagged One Too Many Times.

RULES:

*Each blogger starts with ten random facts/habits about himself/herself.

*Bloggers tagged need to write ten things and post the rules.

*At the end of the blog, you need to choose 10 people you're going to tag and list their names.

*Dont forget to comment on their site that they're tagged.

SOME SAY 10, SOME SAY 15- I'M GOING WITH JUST 10!

I've been tagged by Drea almost a month ago but I was too uninspired then that I opted to do it the day after. Then a day turned into 2 weeks. I got tagged again by Joan which reminded me how I was already tagged and that I really wanted to do it this time. But because Of the "I-don't-know-how-to prioritize" kind of person that I am, every time I get the chance to go online, I drift to surfing and forget the reason why I went online in the first place. After 7 days, I got tagged again by Jam and then 3 days after by Yel. This time I said, this is just one too many times. I was thinking, this is just something I got to do, it's haunting me like a bitter ex lover. Lol. It's 12am and I won't even care that I am getting up early tomorrow, I just want to get this over with.

10. I procrastinate.

-- It's this new disease that every one now a days seem to have or maybe it's just now that they know that it's actually called something. That habit of putting off to the last possible second is just one bad breakout that won't seem to go away. I didn't know how bad it was up until last Mother's day. My sister and I had a week to write a song for mom on that special day. We ended up sleeping at around 3am on May 11th trying hard to find a word that rhymed with ella-ella-eh.

9. I forget.

--I forget A LOT. I forget too much. I forget to drink my vitamins after breakfast. I forget to call my mom when I leave the house. I forget to turn off the heater when I leave in the morning. I forget to push our trash bin out on the street on Thursdays. It's amazing how I remember all these things just now. (Nah, actually I have all these post-its right in front of me. It's on top of my computer table- posted by my ever so patient parents. hahaha)

8. I love new notebooks.

--I have this thing for buying new notebooks every single quarter of every year. It's this earth-unfriendly habit I have. New notebooks just look, smell, and look good. It's also my way of saying "this quarter, I would be a better student- complete assignments; clean, detailed & unadulterated notes; better ME". HA. Though it only works the first few days. I also just realized this when I was packing all my stuff from my old room, I had a lot, and I mean A LOT of half used notebooks(fillers, spring, colored, small, large, cartoony, magazine covered- name it- I have it.)

7. I bite on my straw.

--This goes all the way to my orange-zesto-baon days. I bite my straw so I would just be able to sip the juice little by little since it's too sweet for me. I guess bad habits die hard.

6. I'm a late "replier".

--My friends hate me for this. It takes me like 10 minutes to reply to something from "Bakit ka ba ganyan?" to "San ka?". It's this thing that I'm actually known for around people I text with before. I will defend myself- It's either I'm waiting for my phone to load since it hangs up A LOT from too much messages (it's a 3230- if you own/ed one I think you know what I mean) or I think about what I type way too much before I send my replies. So messages overlap- making each reply to every person taking more time than required. Teehee. Seeeeee. @_@

5. I graduated highschool, but I'm not YET in college.

--I just wanted to say this once and for all, since I'm tired of answering this question over and over again "San ka naga school?". Okeyyy. Since I'm new here, I can't enroll as a regular student. I got here last October, so I have to wait for another year to be considered a resident. The difference is HUGE from tuition if I enroll as an International student. So I'm starting college this Fall '08, September to be exact. :)

4. I have been profusely UNinspired the last few months.

--It's been 5 months since my last Photoshop project. It breaks my heart.I actually have a list of people whom I've promised to edit for.
Sorry. I just don't have enough inspiration pills to be able to think and do lately. But I will, I will. Booo. Next weeek! Hopeful. :x

3. I hate long walks. (the "for-good-health" kind of thing)

--Call me lazy, but it's just..... Yes I am. But it's a whole different story when I'm with my friends just talking the weariness away. I love walking without a certain destination with good company. It's more like, I am an anti-tiresome-activities kind of person. I don't have a sport what so ever.

2. I'm a frustrated ballerina.

--I am. Aw. I just lovelove how they look when they dance. It looks very elegant and it really makes me wonder how they make dancing on your toes look good. I never really asked my parents for lessons, something I regret not doing years back. Starting now would just be an eyesore.

1. I THINK WAY TOO MUCH.

-- THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A LIST. I MADE AN ENTIRE NOVEL. XD

I TAG THEEE:

Hannah --Ms. Just Turned UNMINOR as well
Samoo --Ms. Biggg (Sister- that is)

My last day as a 17 year OLD.

I'm torn between being happy because I can finally get my license and being scared cause I can actually get arrested. Thanks to Pam for making me realize the latter. haha So, since I haven't blogged for the longest time and since I'm stuck at home, I shall blog something before I turn into an UNMINOR. I'll repost something from my very first blog, 3 years ago.

my last day as a 14-year old!

im turning 15 tomorrow! aah! im growing older by the minute.. literally! huhuhu :'( so before this day ends i shall have a list of 15 things i need to accomplish before i die.. haha na-over! hahaÜ

I italicized things I have accomplished! :D

1 create my own blog- feeel.. hahaÜ i think it would really be great if i had my own online diary.I could read this someday and laugh at myself for being so corny. hahaÜ

-- Accomplished. This was my first blog post EVER. After 5 blogs from different servers, I stick with my latest one-- www.thedetailsonmyshoebox.blogspot.com I was so right, ha! Corny nga
ako! haha XD

2 watch dolphins perform up close and maybe swim with them or maybe even ride them- that would be so much fun!

--RIDE THEM, nice. Someday!

3 ride a roller coaster- believe it or not i've never been on one.. gusto ko yung medyo 90degree angle type. so it would be truly unforgetable. "it was her first and last time. what a waste..x(.." bwahaha!Ü

--Accomplished. Since I wrote this before I have
ever been on one, I THOUGHT I would love it. And now 3 theme parks later, I take it back. I am not a fan. I DON'T LIKE CRAZY RIDES.

4 do something that would make my parents really really happy. they'd have to dub me as their favorite! bwahahaha! joke.. aha! but jokes are always half meant..*grin*

--HAHAHA, I was one crazy 14 year old. But I believe this one is ACCOMPLISHED. HAHAHAHA. kidding. There is no favoritism in our family. Ha! Joke. ..but jokes are always half meant. HAHAHA

5 have another piercing- maybe a navel ring.. someday maybe when im old enough to drive.. connection?

--Accomplished. I have one more ear piercing located on my right ear. I had it January 07- friendship earing thing with my good friend Jowielyn :) 16 pa ako, old enough.

6 learn how to play the guitar- kaya kitchie nadal saludo ako sayo! hahaÜ

--Accomplished. It's so much fun singing along, but my singing- just don't ask.

7 own an ipod- thousands of songs in a palm sized player- its a must-own gadget!

--Accomplished. Self earned might I add. It's the first thing I bought with my very first paycheck. :)

8 own a self-earned ferrari- that means ive got to work forever!

--What the fooot was I thinking? Ohoh I remember, I wanted an Enzo Ferrari since I always watched that car show on Discovery Channel with my brother. Things change- I want a cooper now. I want it sooo bad. When I'm at a carpark I always look through the glass, walk around it, then stare at the hood and the headlights (which I love the most, btw) my sister just goes- stop it, you look like soo suspicious. I just can't help it. Ma... Bday.. hahaha Yeah Right.

Oo, nagpapicture dyud ko. XD This is the new model- a bigger one than the usual. The safer one to own. Purrty!!

9 try not to sin for a day- a saint for a day.. i dont know.. God help!

--What the footnick? This one's just plain dumb. I thought maybe I could sleep on it, then I reckon it's being a sloth. So I don't know, maybe someday I'd have an idea. Ha.

10 magkaroon ng pictorial!- haha.. dream on.. Ü

--Ha! When I work soon, I would buy an DSLR. Soon Dinna. Haha

11 meet piere bouviere!!- have picturesss taken with him!! oh GOD please.. hahaÜ

--Gosh! He's eekie now. His hair is like, emo. T_T No thank you. Now, I'd like to meet Chace Crawford. His scruffy hair just hits the spot. Ooh.
12 graduate hyskul and college- para may future diba? hahaÜ
-- Halfway there! :)

13 sky dive- aaahh.. just thinking about it excites me!!! wohhooÜ

--HAHAHA. Yeah Right, I repeat, No i-feel-like-i'm-going-to-die-any-minute-now hobbies. Ha. BUTT. Maybe I would someday, if I'm given a chance. Tsk :P

14 ice skate in a frozen lake- in other terms i also wanna be able to touch and feel snow falling! white christmas!

--Half way there too! ;) Got to touch snow last January at Big Bear, CA. I thought it would be just okey since I was going there with just my parents. But HA! With Siblings or no siblings, I felt like I was six again! I was sooo amazed. It just felt like crushed ice, but none the less, I had fun! :D'

15 learn another language- anyonghaseyo! haha.. tama ba yan??Ü

-- Oooh Yeah. I'd love to this too. I think I'll take Spanish lessons this summer! woot! :D

Ha! I had fun blogging. :D

I think I'll be able to crush out everything on this list before I turn 30. Just having problems about that being-a-saint-for-a-day thing. Ha!

AAAAH. I can't believe I'm turning 18 tomorrow.

My 17 yearold year was the most lesson filled year of my life. I've grown up so much as a person and I'm so much smarter now- No not with the books, but with life.
